Tyrese Maxey Has Signed A Multi-Year Shoe Deal With New Balance
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Tyrese Maxey is officially a New Balance athlete.

Tyrese Maxey is one of the best young guards in the NBA, and he is currently averaging 21.2 PPG, 3.0 RPG, and 4.0 APG for the Philadelphia 76ers. Throughout his time in the NBA, Tyrese Maxey has developed a reputation as a solid offensive guard, and he is clearly having a breakout season as of now.

There is no doubt that when players become elite, they often sign endorsement deals with a sportswear company, which could then result in them getting their own signature shoe. It seems as though Tyrese Maxey has recently gotten one of those deals. Recently, insider Nick DePaula revealed that New Balance has signed Tyrese Maxey to a multi-year shoe deal.

Signing with New Balance was definitely a good move for Tyrese Maxey, and he will definitely be one of the most prominent figures to sign with the brand. He will be one of the faces of the company in the basketball world, and it'll be interesting to see if he gets his own signature shoe in the future.

New Balance Is Trying To Sign More Big-Name Players

New Balance has definitely been on the upswing as a company and adding Tyrese Maxey to their roster of athletes definitely helps in terms of improving their presence in basketball. Another potential move for them involves potentially signing Kyrie Irving, who notably did not get a new deal from Nike.

“Kyrie Irving, as reported, is no longer a Nike athlete,” Robinson said. “I’m told that a sneaker company that many should be paying attention to is New Balance. Stay tuned for that.”

Adding Kyrie Irving would give New Balance another legitimate star-level player. They notably have a deal with Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard already. Kyrie Irving's sneakers have been among the most popular during his time with Nike, and perhaps we'll see his shoes maintain the same popularity if he signs with New Balance. He would immediately become the second-best player among the NBA players signed with the company, and this is clearly an interesting situation to monitor going forward.

Hopefully, we see New Balance's presence continue to grow in the basketball world. They definitely have the potential to become a household name in terms of basketball wear, and it seems as though more and more players are willing to sign shoe deals with them.
