Udonis Haslem roasts Paul Pierce for comments about Dwyane Wade

Haslem is fully qualified to defend Wade, having played alongside him for each of his 15 seasons in a Heat uniform. Furthermore, Wade was arguably the better player when looking at their career accomplishments. 

With most of their careers overlapping, the pair matched up against one another 33 times, with Wade getting the better of Pierce, even by the slightest of margins. 

Wade averaged 21.3 points, 5.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds when going up against the Celtics and Pierce, who recorded 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists over those games. Also, Wade led his teams to more NBA titles (three to one) and Finals berths (five to two) than Pierce. 

However, if you ask Pierce, he'll chalk up the difference to the talent surrounding Wade in Miami. During his podcast appearance, Pierce said his skills were "underappreciated" because, unlike Wade, he didn't get to play with many great players in their prime like Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. 

"Me, LeBron, and Bosh, we not gonna win one? We not gonna win a couple?" Pierce said. "Who's the better three-point shooter? Is he a better scorer? Okay, he averaged more points than me career. I can shoot the three, I got the mid-range, I can post up, I can get to the line. Who a better scorer?" 

Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen be damned, I guess.
