Updated NBA Title Odds Heading into 2024
USA TODAY Sports

The calander has turned to 2024 and the NBA season is nearing its halfway point.

Thorughout this season, there has not been a lot of movement in the NBA title odds. The Boston Celtics are regarded as the NBAs' best roster and they still hold the best odds to win the title on Fanduel Sportsbook at +320. The Celtics have won six in a row and as long as they stay healthy, they will be tough to beat in a seven game series.

The defending champion Nuggets just barely edge out the Bucks for the second best odds in the championship race. Denver features NIkola Jokic and maybe the best starting five in the NBA, but their bench is going to be their biggest question.

The Bucks are rolling right now and have one of the best offenses in the NBA. They might be the only team standing in the way of Boston in the Eastern Confernce.

After the top three, there is a bit of a dropoff in the odds.

Phoenix (+1100), Philadelphia (+1300), and the Clippers (+1400) are intriguing options that could win the title if things broke the right way for them. All three of these teams will have to show they can stay healthy down the stretch of the season.

Minnesota (+1800), the Lakers (+2000), and the Thunder (+2800) are next in line. Both the Timberwolves and the Thunder are the top two seeds in the Western Confernece and have young MVP candidates. The Lakers and the Thunder could make a big trade at the deadline.

Dallas (+3000), Miami (+3600), Golden State (+3600), and Sacramento (+3600) make up the other fringe candidates that would need a lot to break right for them to have a shot at the title.

Atlanta checks in at +12000 to win the title. The Hawks have the potential to make some moves to retool their roster, but I don't think they would have a chance to win the title regardless.
