When LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, made the statement of the Los Angeles Lakers should trade Austin Reaves, it sent the NBA world into a firestorm. Most fans, including the Lakers themselves, weren’t too happy with Paul’s remarks.
New reports have now come out stating that the Utah Jazz could target Reaves in free agency after the season ends.
“I think the Utah Jazz are going to be a team that has big interest in Austin Reaves this summer,” Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports said.
“There are going to be teams that make a big max offer for Reaves, and he’s going to have that choice. So the Lakers, like, Rich Paul’s not saying it, but I’m sure Rich Paul has that same exact information about where Reaves could go this offseason.”
Reaves has become an important player on the Lakers over the past few seasons. He’s averaged 26.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists so far this season. If given a bigger role, Reaves could easily become an All-Star.
Maybe that will happen next season on the Utah Jazz.
