UPDATE: The Jazz have now signed Michael Devoe and Keshawn Justice.

The Utah Jazz began training camp earlier this month and have now played two preseason games (they are 1-1).

During this period, there are a lot of transactions, and on Wednesday, the Jazz waived Nick Ongenda and Taevion Kinsey (via the NBA's official transaction page).

Keith Smith of Spotrac added more details: "The Utah Jazz have waived Taevion Kinsey and Nick Ongenda.

Utah's roster now stands at 19 players."

Kinsey went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft after five seasons of college basketball playing for Marshall.

During his final year, he averaged 22.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 54.2% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point range in 32 games.

He did not make an appearance in the preseason.

Ongenda went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft after four seasons of college basketball playing for DePaul.

During his final season, he averaged 12.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 4.4 blocks per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field in eight games.

He did not make an appearance in the preseason.

As for the Jazz, they are coming off a year where they went 37-45 and finished as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

Despite a competitive start to the season, the team missed the NBA playoffs for the first time in six seasons.
