Victor Oladipo not interested in staying with Rockets long term?

The Houston Rockets pulled off an elaborate trade to get James Harden off the team, and they may only be getting started when it comes to trading. Victor Oladipo, whom Houston acquired from the Indiana Pacers as part the deal, is reportedly not interested in playing for the Rockets long term and could be traded if the team does not want to be stuck with yet another unhappy superstar.

"Houston could also still flip Oladipo, who wanted out of Indiana but landed in another place he doesn’t want to be," the Ringer's Kevin O'Connor wrote. "League sources say Oladipo still hopes to find himself in Miami."

Oladipo's desire to leave the Pacers was well-documented, but it sounds like he may be just as unhappy being in Houston, especially since the team could be heading toward a full post-Harden rebuild. Oladipo is on the last year of his contract so the Rockets could benefit from trading him for young prospects or assets rather than losing him for nothing after the season.

For Oladipo, the ideal destination seems to be Miami. That is no surprise, as the Heat are one of the most exciting teams in the NBA right now, thanks to their surprise NBA Finals run in the Orlando bubble. While the Heat reportedly were less interested in Oladipo before, that may have changed now that Giannis Antetokounmpo — whom Miami was said to be targeting if he free agency — has officially signed a supermax to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Oladipo may not be the only player the Rockets place on the trading block. P.J. Tucker is also reportedly looking to get out of Houston and has expressed his dissatisfaction with the team.
