Victor Wembanyama is giving off some real Giannis Antetokounmpo energy these days.
The San Antonio Spurs star Wembanyama drew attention during Monday’s game against the Miami Heat for his unusual new celebration. In the second quarter at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla., Wembanyama caught the ball in transition and threw down a one-handed dunk through a couple of Heat players.
He then proceeded to celebrate by sticking his tongue all the way out in the direction of his teammates. Check out the video.

That was not just a spontaneous moment for Wembanyama either. During a game earlier this week, the seven-footer was seen doing a very similar tongue motion while sitting on the San Antonio bench.
Wembanyama, 22, has really come into his own during his third NBA season. He is averaging 24.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, and a league-leading 3.0 blocks per game and is looking like one of the top candidates for NBA MVP with the Spurs sitting at 53-18 overall (second in the West).
As for Wembanyama’s new celebration … well, that one can speak for itself. At least it was not quite as weird as the celebration that Kevin Durant busted out a couple of seasons ago.
