Victor Wembanyama’s season was unfortunately cut short due to a serious health condition. To recover, Wembanyama has been seen training with Shaolin monks at a temple in China.
Wembanyama is reportedly participating in a 10-day “closed-door martial arts training” at a temple in central Henan province. There have even been photos circulating on social media with Wemby looking like a monk with his head shaved.
BUDDHIST TRADITION: Victor Wembanyama travelled to China to begin his journey of an ancient Buddhist tradition called ‘Vassa,’ at the Shaolin Temple.

This looks to be great news for Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Wemby is looking to bounce back physically and mentally from his devastating health scare last year.
What better way than to train with the Shaolin monks?
