On Thursday evening, the San Antonio Spurs faced off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
The Spurs won the game by a score of 118-105, and Victor Wembanyama led the way with 30 points, six rebounds, six assists and seven blocks while shooting 9/14 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in 24 minutes of playing time.
During the fourth quarter, Wembanyama had a huge alley-oop that went viral on social media.
Tre Jones threw a lob to Wembanyama, who finished off the play with a dunk.

The victory for the Spurs snapped a five-game losing streak, and they are now 5-25 in their first 30 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 3-12 in the 15 games they have played on the road and will play the Trail Blazers (again) on Friday evening in Portland.

Wembanyama has played in 27 games so far this season and is now averaging 18.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.2 blocks per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 28.5% from the three-point range.
Despite the team's struggles, he will have an excellent chance to win the 2024 Rookie of The Year Award.

As for the Trail Blazers, they dropped to 8-22 in their first 30 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Western Conference.
Jerami Grant and Malcolm Brogdon combined to score 58 points.
At home, they are 4-11 in the 15 games they have played in Portland.
