Patrick Beverley is one of the best defenders in this league and there's no doubt that he takes every matchup very seriously. It seems as though that extends to the pickup courts.

A recent video of Patrick Beverley playing pick-up basketball against a group of young children has surfaced. The video featured Patrick Beverley blocking a young kid's layup attempt, and scoring a layup despite the best efforts of the kids guarding him.

There is no doubt that NBA players would generally dominate in a pickup game against other grown men, let alone young children. Patrick Beverley is a player that is known mostly for his defense in the league, but he would give every single regular pickup player plenty of buckets.

Patrick Beverley has an extremely aggressive mindset on offense, often annoying opposing ballhandlers. Devin Booker once claimed that Beverley has "one objective" on the defensive end, and it seems as though that objective is to make life extremely difficult for stars.

"He's ultra-aggressive. He's denying, limiting touches," Booker said, via The Athletic. "He has one objective out there, and we understand that. I feel like other things should open up, and we have to look at the film and see what's open and see what we can get."

The Minnesota Timberwolves made the playoffs for the first time since the 2017-18 season this year under Patrick Beverley's leadership. They have a very bright future, but they are also a solid playoff team in the now.

We will see how Patrick Beverley and the Minnesota Timberwolves do next season. They took the Memphis Grizzlies to 6 games, and perhaps they could make it out of the first round next season. With an Anthony Edwards leap that is a very viable possibility, and Patrick Beverley will likely be crucial to the team next season as well, just like he was this past year.
