Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are looking to secure a bounce-back win on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. The Warriors are coming off an embarrassing 108-83 blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, which marked their third defeat in their last four games.
Curry sat out Monday’s matchup in Minnesota due to a knee injury. It was the tail end of a back-to-back set for Golden State, which played a significant role in the team giving Curry the night off.
Curry returned to action on Wednesday night, and he wasted no time making NBA history in the game.
Curry marked a career milestone in his last game. He climbed the NBA’s all-time leaderboard for career points by surpassing Hall of Fame forward John Havlicek for No. 20 on the list.
Curry climbed another spot on Wednesday against the Jazz. The Warriors took to social media to announce the former back-to-back MVP’s latest historic feat.
“Keep 'em coming, 30 Stephen Curry has passed Paul Pierce for 19th most points scored in NBA history,” the team posted on X.

Curry passed another Boston Celtics icon on Wednesday. The Warriors superstar entered the game with 26,397 points, tied with Pierce. Curry broke the deadlock after scoring his first basket of the night.
Curry is now chasing another Hall of Famer on the list. San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan, widely regarded as one of the greatest power forwards of all time, has 26,496 points to his name. Curry, who is averaging 27.3 points this season, should pass Duncan for the No. 18 spot in the next few games.
More importantly, though, the Warriors need a win. They entered Wednesday’s contest with a 26-22 record. They are seventh in the Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Timberwolves.
