Steph Curry will finally return to action on Tuesday night as the Golden State Warriors take on the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The former back-to-back NBA MVP has missed the last three games due to illness, but Curry has finally recovered and will return to the court for the first time since Nov. 4.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters before the game, and he shared a crucial update on Curry’s status for the Thunder game. This should serve as good news for Golden State, which lost two out of the last three games with Curry sidelined.

The Warriors lost back-to-back games to the Sacramento Kings and the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. They got back to winning ways on Sunday with a 114-83 victory against a shorthanded Indiana Pacers squad. Golden State has a 6-5 record entering Tuesday’s contest against OKC.

The good news on Curry is that, according to Coach Kerr, the 11-time All-Star will not have a minutes restriction in Tuesday’s game (h/t Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area). Curry is averaging 31.1 minutes per contest this season, and this pregame update from Kerr means that Curry should be able to take on his usual load against the Thunder.

It is worth noting, though, that Al Horford will not play on Tuesday night. The 39-year-old veteran has been ruled out due to a left toe issue and injury management.

Tuesday’s game will be the first night of a back-to-back set for Golden State. Curry and Co. will be back in action on Wednesday in a road matchup against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
