The Golden State Warriors are in action on Sunday, but they could be without two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry. The Warriors were scheduled to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, but the NBA postponed the game due to unrest in Minneapolis. The game was moved to Sunday, but Curry popped up on the injury report with a knee issue.
Curry looked great in Golden State’s last game. The 11-time All-NBA point guard went off for 38 points in 34 minutes in a loss to Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. It wasn’t enough to carry the Warriors to victory, though, as they suffered their second straight loss.
The Warriors play twice in two nights due to the schedule change. Golden State and Minnesota will play on Sunday and Monday, setting up another back-to-back for the Warriors.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters on Sunday ahead of the game. He shared a health update on Curry as the 37-year-old looks to shake off the injury before tip-off.
"Yeah, Steph is gonna warm up," Kerr said. "He didn't really feel an injury the other night. He felt something yesterday. So he was doing a kind of a warm-up, and he felt something in his knee.
"So he's told me today that he's feeling better, but he will have to go warm up and see. ... Steph is questionable. We'll see how he feels when he goes out there. Hopefully he'll be able to play."

Kerr also addressed the unrest in Minneapolis after a protester was shot and killed by a federal officer on Sunday. The four-time NBA champion coach sent his love to the city of Minneapolis and its people.
Kerr also announced that both Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton will play on Sunday. Both players were questionable to play, but Kerr has confirmed that they will suit up. However, Kerr also ruled Horford and Melton out for the tail end of the back-to-back on Monday.
The Warriors enter Sunday’s contest with a 25-21 record. As of writing, they are eighth in the Western Conference. Tip-off from Target Center is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.
