The Golden State Warriors’ title hopes have dwindled following forward Jimmy Butler’s season‑ending injury, leaving the franchise once again dependent on superstar Steph Curry.

Now in his 17th NBA season, the 37‑year‑old veteran point guard is entering the final stages of a legendary career with nothing left to prove.

When Curry eventually decides to walk away, he will head straight to the Hall of Fame as a player who reshaped the sport.

His body of work includes four NBA championships, 11 All‑Star selections, 11 All‑NBA honors, two scoring titles and two MVP awards. He also remains the league’s all‑time leader in 3‑pointers made, continuing to build on that total this season.

Recently, Curry has been dealing with a knee injury that first surfaced last week. He played through it for multiple games before missing Monday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game the Warriors lost in a blowout on the road.

Fortunately for Golden State, it appears his absence will likely be limited to that one game, largely because Monday’s contest was the second half of a back‑to‑back.

The Warriors announced their latest injury report on Tuesday, and although Curry is still listed with the knee issue, he received a probable designation for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz, signaling he is expected to return.

Getting him back would be a major boost as the Warriors evaluate over the next month whether they need to make a move before the trade deadline to strengthen the roster around him.

Curry has remained as impactful as ever offensively, and his greatness continues to hinge on unmatched shooting gravity, elite off‑ball movement and the ability to bend defenses in ways no other guard can, creating efficient looks for himself and everyone around him.

Throughout 37 games, Curry is averaging 27.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 46.8% from the field and 39.0% from beyond the arc.

With Curry trending toward a return, the Warriors can at least trust that their greatest stabilizer is still capable of carrying them as they fight to stay afloat in the Western Conference race.
