Warriors blow second huge lead in five days against Clippers

Draymond Green says the Warriors need to "figure out how to win." they can start by not blowing double-digit leads.

Paul George hit a go-ahead three-pointer with ten second remaining to give the Los Angeles Clippers a 113-112 win over the Golden State Warriors.

It's the second loss in a week where the Warriors took a huge first-half lead and let it slip away, after losing to the Sacramento Kings Tuesday, in a game they led by 24 at one point.

Golden State led by 22 points in the third quarter, but the Clippers chipped away at their lead in the third quarter, cutting the margin to seven points.

L.A. got within a point with 2:04 left, but the Warriors had a five-point lead with under a minute to go. But Kawhi Leonard hit a jumper, Stephen Curry missed a shot and George delivered an improbable win.

Green may not know why his group can't close games, but George offered a theory. Much like the NBA's hottest celebration move, the Warriors are simply "too small."

George argued that the Warriors' lack of a rim protector — no offense to Kevon Looney — means that teams can get to the rim or find three-point shooters at will in crunch time.

But the Warriors aren't getting bigger any time soon, so they'll simply need to learn how to protect a giant lead.
