If you're gonna go down, go down swinging.
With 8:23 left in the third quarter, Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green was whistled for a foul on Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic after spinning around and making physical contact.
After review, Green was assessed a technical and ejected.
This isn't the first (or last) time Green has been ejected for such an act, as he's known for having a long history of these sort of plays. Many around the NBA believe Green falls under the "dirty" category.
Green played 17 minutes before leaving. He scored two points on 1-3 shooting and had two rebounds on top of two assists.
Before the game, Suns coach Frank Vogel praised Green:
“Toughness, IQ, edge, attitude, all the above. He’s one of the best ever to do it on that side of the ball and obviously, I don’t think he gets enough credit for how he quarterbacks their offense as well. He really is a dynamic two-way player for them.”
This now marks the second consecutive player to be ejected for a Suns-Warriors meeting in Phoenix, as Chris Paul was tossed just minutes into the last contest.
The Warriors lead 70-66 in the third quarter as this is published.
