Warriors’ Draymond Green praises the Knicks

As Green has been a key component to the Warriors’ dynasty, leading to four championships, it is two more than the Knicks have, winning two back in 1970 and 1973. With New York looking to add another one this season, Green would praise the team on “Inside the NBA” on ESPN, for how they’re playing right now, saying not one team has been performing better in the last month than the Knicks.

“There’s no one playing better than the New York Knicks. They’ve been consistently good on both sides of the basketball. They’re really connecting the game, they’re using their defense to fuel their offense,” Green said.

“We’re just talking about Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, because they’re using their defense to fuel their offense, it’s not just Jalen Brunson standing there in front of the defense, they’re out in transition. Then, when Jalen Brunson needs to make the play, they double team, he hits the open guy, and they’re capitalizing. But there’s no team playing better than the New York Knicks right now for the last month,” Green continued.

It remains to be seen if New York wins a title this season, but don’t expect Green to join the bandwagon anytime soon.
