Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is not everybody’s cup of tea. The 36-year-old is in his 14th season under coach Steve Kerr in the Bay Area.

Green continues to serve as a dependable force on both ends of the floor. He is averaging 8.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists across 55 games in the 2025-26 campaign.

The four-time NBA champion remains the type of player teammates love to have, but opponents often dread facing.

Green drew praise this week from Hall of Famer Reggie Miller. The former sharpshooter turned analyst highlighted Green’s trademark intensity in a social media post.

Green continues to be Golden State’s defensive anchor and secondary playmaker while serving as the team’s emotional leader. The four-time NBA All-Star’s impact often extends beyond the box score. His fiery personality and relentless competitiveness have drawn both admiration and criticism over the years.

Miller is clearly a fan. The NBA legend made that known in a recent Instagram Story, posting a photo of himself speaking with Green. “You can love him, you can hate him, I don’t care. All I know is this dude only cares about WINNING and making the right play(s) for his team @money23green,” the caption read.

Green appreciated the gesture and re-shared the post via Instagram Stories, writing, “Appreciate you Reg!”

It is easy to see why Miller relates to Green. During his playing days, Miller was a fierce competitor who often ruffled feathers with his physical play and relentless energy. That same edge defines Green’s game today.

Golden State will need that warrior mindset more than ever. The Warriors sit 10th in the Western Conference at 36-42 and have already clinched a spot in the play-in tournament.
