The Golden State Warriors’ frustrating stretch without Stephen Curry has now reached a point where even fans are feeling it emotionally.

Recently, a video circulating on social media shows a Warriors fan passionately pleading for Curry to return, given the growing desperation around the franchise as it struggles to stay afloat in the Western Conference.

“Steph please! Come back, I need you! Come back!” the fan shouted.

However, equally as desperate to return to the court and do all those tricks again, the Bay Area superstar slightly nodded to the fan’s plea while heading out of the tunnel.

While he is determined to play this season if “we have stuff to play for,” Curry has missed 15 games since early February due to right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome along with bone bruising.

Though the team has continued to monitor his progress and expects a re-evaluation soon, there is still no clear timeline for his return. However, that uncertainty has only amplified the tension.

Golden State currently sits at 33-35, clinging to the ninth spot in the West. A recent win over the Washington Wizards offered brief relief, but the larger picture remains concerning. Without Curry, the offense has struggled for consistency, and the team has lacked the late-game composure that has defined its championship years.

Curry, however, has already made his stance clear on playing whatever role there is for the team. The 38-year-old has resumed individual workouts and continues to progress, but the organization is being cautious. Head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that while Curry is trending in the right direction, the team is evaluating his recovery day by day rather than rushing a return.

Steve Kerr Reacts to Buzz Around Stephen Curry’s Return

Coming from fans’ continuous pleas, as speculation continues to swirl around Stephen Curry’s potential return, Steve Kerr isn’t entertaining the idea of the Golden State Warriors backing down from the fight.

The Warriors have struggled to stay afloat without Curry, who remains sidelined with a knee injury. With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, a growing section of the fanbase has begun questioning whether it’s even worth pushing for a late-season run.

One such sentiment made its way to Kerr during a recent appearance on 95.7 The Game, when a caller openly doubted Curry’s urgency to return and suggested the Warriors would be outmatched anyway.

Kerr didn’t hold back.

“Oh, so we should just quit?” he responded.

Despite the injuries and the uphill battle in the standings, coach Kerr made it clear that shutting things down is not an option.

Even if the fans have forgotten, this is a team that has defined itself through resilience, championship habits, and a refusal to take shortcuts. That philosophy hasn’t changed, and it won’t change much for a long time.
