Steph Curry returns for the Golden State Warriors on Friday, but Draymond Green remains out of action. Green has missed the Warriors’ last two games, and he also won’t be available for Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A foot injury has sidelined Green, but Friday’s absence is for personal reasons. The former Defensive Player of the Year was reportedly allowed to miss practice on Wednesday and Thursday as he attended to an undisclosed personal matter.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided an important update on Green ahead of Friday’s game against the Wolves. As it turns out, Green appears to have already settled his personal issue.

Green is averaging 8.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 28.2 minutes per game this season. He sustained a right mid-foot sprain on Dec. 4 in a 99-98 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and has missed the last two games due to the issue.

The Warriors did not provide any details on Green's personal leave of absence. The good news, however, is that Kerr announced on Friday that Green will rejoin the team for Sunday’s contest against the Portland Trail Blazers, via ESPN’s Anthony Slater.

The four-time NBA champion coach also revealed that Green has recovered from his right mid-foot sprain, but his status for the Portland game remains uncertain. He will reportedly be available, but Kerr noted that it will be up to the Warriors' director of sports medicine and performance, Rick Celibrini, on whether to activate Green against the Blazers or to hold him out for at least one more game.

Either way, Green is close to getting back on the court, which coincides with Curry's return from a five-game absence due to a quad injury. The two-time NBA MVP will play in his first game back on Friday against the Wolves, and the Warriors announced before tipoff that Curry will not have a minutes limit in his return.

Golden State will be looking to make it three straight wins on Friday as it hopes to improve on its 13-12 record.
