The Golden State Warriors' up-and-down season continued on Sunday with a 136-131 loss on the road to the Portland Trail Blazers.

It was the second straight loss and the fourth in six games in December for Golden State.

The Blazers saw Jeramin Grant and Shaedon Sharpe each score 35 points and Deni Avdija added another 26 points in a well-rounded game.

The Warriors saw superstar Steph Curry break out once again. Curry scored a game-high 48 points, one short of his season-high (49 on Nov. 14).

Curry shot a staggering 16-of-26 from the field with a 12-of-19 clip from 3-point land.

The Warriors posted an announcement regarding Curry on their X page as his 12 made 3-pointers represented another part of his NBA record.

"Stephen Curry records his 5th career game with 12 made threes, the most in NBA history," the post read.

According to StatMuse, Curry has five such games with 12 made 3-pointers. The next highest is former Warriors star Klay Thompson, who has done it three times.

The last two times Thompson did that were in the 2022-2023 season when he was with Golden State.

Curry's last three times hitting 12 3-pointers have all come in the 2025 calendar year, with the most recent prior to this coming on April 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors star is the all-time NBA leader in 3-point field goals with 4,151, and he is more than 900 ahead of his nearest competitor, James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Warriors and Curry next face off against the Phoenix Suns on the road on Thursday, with tip-off at 9 pm ET.
