Jonathan Kuminga will miss his seventh straight game on Wednesday, but he says the wait won’t be much longer.

The Warriors forward told ESPN’s Anthony Slater he expects to be back “soon,” and he’s already trending that way.

Kuminga went through some three-on-three work Tuesday and is scheduled to scrimmage again Wednesday, per NBC Bay Area’s Monte Poole.

Before the knee tendinitis popped up, Kuminga had been playing some of his best basketball. He is averaging 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists while finally looking comfortable in his role.

Al Horford is also out Wednesday with a nerve issue.

Kuminga Rumors: It appears that Kuminga and coach Steve Kerr haven’t resolved their tension. We have that full report in our rumors package here.

Draymond Update: There is some good news. Draymond Green has been upgraded to probable, per Slater. He sat Monday’s win over Utah with a foot issue. Green holds a $27.7 million player option for next season.

Butler’s Run: Jimmy Butler, meanwhile, looked sharp against the Jazz. The Warriors were plus-19 in his 28 minutes as he went for 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting, adding six rebounds and seven assists.

On the flip side, Lauri Markkanen — the player Golden State chased last season before pivoting to Butler — managed just 17 points on 31.6-percent shooting while being guarded by smaller wings.
