Warriors officially announce signing of Seth Curry

Seth Curry is back in Golden State for real. The Warriors announced Monday that the veteran guard has officially signed for the rest of the 2025-26 season, completing the move that had been expected since training camp.

Curry was with the Warriors in October before being waived in the final round of cuts. It wasn’t a basketball decision at the time; it was finances.

His veteran minimum didn’t fit under the second-apron hard cap, so the team needed to wait until his prorated number dropped enough to squeeze him in.

They finally got the space. Curry’s cap hit now comes in at just over $1.75 million, leaving Golden State around $264,000 below the apron. If he finishes the season with the Warriors, he’ll earn $2.78 million.

Curry led the NBA in three-point percentage last year at 45.6 percent. He’s an 11-year vet, a career 43 percent shooter from deep, and exactly the kind of floor-spacing Golden State still leans on.

This will also mark the first time Seth and Stephen Curry have ever played together in an NBA regular-season game.

Golden State finally made the reunion happen. It just took a little cap gymnastics to get there.
