The Golden State Warriors conclude a three-game road trip on Wednesday when they visit the Charlotte Hornets. Golden State enters the game 17-16 on the season and 6-4 over its last 10 games after a 120-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
Steph Curry led the way with 27 points and five 3-pointers to lead Golden State to victory. His performance continued a strong individual season, as he leads the Warriors in scoring at 28.8 points per game, while also averaging 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
The veteran guard has been the centerpiece of Golden State’s offense all season and figures to be relied on again against Charlotte.
Ahead of Wednesday’s game, Curry received a hero’s welcome from his alma mater, Davidson College. It was unveiled at Davidson that the off-ramp connecting Interstate 77 to the college — Exit 30 — has been officially renamed the “Stephen Curry Interchange.”
The honor was celebrated at halftime of Davidson’s game against Duquesne, where fans and alumni gathered to recognize Curry’s contributions to the school and community.
The Warriors also shared the news on social media.
“A homecoming to remember. Honoring a legacy that started with @DavidsonMBB, Exit 30 to Davidson College is now officially the Stephen Curry Interchange,” the team’s official handle wrote on X.

Curry’s basketball journey began at Davidson, where he played from 2006-09. He was drafted seventh overall by the Warriors in 2009 and has since become a four-time NBA champion, two-time MVP, and the greatest shooter in league history.
Now in his 17th NBA season, Curry continues to deliver at an elite level, carrying Golden State’s offense while accumulating milestones and accolades.
Against Charlotte, Curry is again expected to play a key role as the Warriors close their road trip and aim to build momentum heading into January.
