Warriors Sign Miles Kelly, Set Training Camp Roster

Kelly spent three years at Georgia Tech and one with Auburn prior to going undrafted last year. He spent most of his rookie NBA season on a two-way contract with Dallas prior to being waived on March 1.

The 6’4″ shooting guard made 14 NBA appearances with the Mavs, averaging 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.6 minutes per game. Kelly had a much larger role in the G League, having averaged 21.0 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.2 APG and 0.9 SPG on .438/.383/.884 shooting in 33 games with the Texas Legends (32.0 MPG).

Kelly was a high-volume three-point shooter with the Legends, converting 3.3 of his 8.7 attempts per game.

Golden State has set its roster ahead of Tuesday’s training camp. In addition to 15 players on standard contracts and three on two-way deals, the team confirmed that Kelly will join Dalen Terry and Alex Toohey on non-guaranteed training camp contracts.

Assuming Kelly’s contract features Exhibit 10 language, which is a safe bet, he’d be eligible for a bonus worth up to $91K on top of his base salary if he’s waived before the season begins and spends at least 60 days with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
