There isn’t anything like a good brother-in-law/ex-teammate. Well that was Warriors superstar and former finals MVP Stephen Curry yesterday night after Damion Lee hit a game winning shot to solidify a win for the Phoenix Suns.

Lee is a former Warriors player that just won an NBA championship last year as a role player. He’s been in moments like this before as he was just two years ago when he hit a game winning shot for the Warriors in a regular season game to give them a win against the Chicago Bulls in the 2020 season.

Lee was asked if he saw Curry’s reaction on social media after the game:

“No 3 people have told me about it but I mean I’ll see it eventually. But it’s dope it goes to show you the kind of support that he has. Support from friends family across the league and obviously teammates came to the locker room and everyone was cheering and supportive but i’m just happy we got the win.”

It appears that Lee brought some of Golden State’s championship DNA to Phoenix. Hopefully it rubs off on the team the rest of the season as we get to postseason play down the stretch. But for now it’s a great start to the season for the Suns.
