Stephen Curry is more than just a star point guard for the Golden State Warriors. He's also a racial and social justice activist who has used his gigantic platform to bring racial inequality issues to light.
The NFL reportedly will play the Black national anthem "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing," prior to "The Star-Spangled Banner" in Week 1, and Curry blasted the idea.
Curry commented on an Instagram post discussing the matter and made a very good point about playing the Black anthem during Week 1.

The 32-year-old, like many athletes, wants to see real change when it comes to racial inequality issues. Many players will kneel during the national anthem this season or find alternate ways of protesting before games.
Curry has been in support of those protests, too, and even took part in a peaceful rally in Oakland last month with his wife Ayesha following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.
He's also urged people to vote in the upcoming election in order to instill change and continuously speaks up for the rights of women.
