Warriors' Steph Curry Sends Message After Season-Ending News

The Golden State Warriors are enduring a difficult stretch to close the NBA regular season, sliding down the Western Conference standings and settling into the 10th seed. Despite the struggles, Golden State has already clinched a spot in the play-in tournament, ensuring their postseason hopes remain alive, even as their margin for error continues to shrink.

A major factor behind that slide has been injuries. The Warriors were first hit by the loss of Jimmy Butler, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury, and the situation worsened when Stephen Curry went down with a knee issue on January 30. Since then, Golden State has struggled to maintain consistency without its franchise centerpiece.

Curry has now missed 25 consecutive games, dealing with patellofemoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in his knee. During that stretch, the Warriors have gone 9-16.

While there was early optimism surrounding his recovery, the outlook has grown more uncertain. Curry has yet to return to full-contact action, and with the regular season winding down, there are increasing discussions about the possibility of shutting him down if he cannot ramp up in time before the play-in tournament.

As if those setbacks were not enough, Golden State was dealt another crushing blow with Moses Moody suffering a season-ending injury. The 23-year-old guard tore the patellar tendon in his left knee during an overtime win against the Dallas Mavericks, collapsing on a non-contact play while attempting a dunk.

Moody had been in the middle of a breakout season, averaging 12.1 points across 60 games (49 starts) and providing a consistent scoring option amid the team’s injury struggles. His absence further depletes an already thin rotation as the Warriors push toward the postseason.

Following the news, Curry took to Instagram to share a message of encouragement to his teammate: “going to be back better than ever Mo!”

With Moody ruled out and Curry still sidelined without a clear timetable, Golden State’s backcourt remains severely limited entering the final stretch. The Warriors are currently three games behind the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers with seven games remaining on the schedule.

Golden State will face the San Antonio Spurs on April 1, marking the beginning of a five-game road trip that concludes against the Los Angeles Lakers on April 9. The Warriors will then close out their regular season at home against the Clippers.

Even with a play-in berth secured, the Warriors’ path forward remains uncertain and heavily dependent on whether Curry can return in time to give them a fighting chance.
