The Golden State Warriors will be without a pair of familiar names as they end the first half of the 2020-21 NBA regular season at the Phoenix Suns.
Nick Friedell wrote for ESPN that Golden State's Stephen Curry and Draymond Green did not travel to Phoenix for Thursday's clash. Curry is merely resting ahead of Sunday's All-Star Game festivities in Atlanta that include the soon-to-be 33-year-old participating in the three-point contest and the exhibition matchup, while Green is recovering from a sprained left ankle that he first suffered in this past Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Via the RotoWire Staff, Green played 36 minutes in Wednesday's 108-106 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and recorded five points, nine rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals.
Per ESPN stats, Curry leads the Warriors with 29.7 points per game and a player efficiency rating of 25.30. Green, meanwhile, is atop team categories for rebounds (6.1), assists (8.6), and steals (1.4).
The Warriors sit at 19-17 overall and in ninth place in the Western Conference standings.
