The Golden State Warriors lost their previous game against the Orlando Magic after winning three straight against the San Antonio Spurs (twice) and New Orleans Pelicans. Sure enough, there are high hopes that they would be able to bounce back when they play the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
However, heading to the showdown, the Warriors have been marred by injuries. Both Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler are dealing with injuries, while their defensive anchor Draymond Green is going through an illness.
Green has been a key part of the Warriors during their 9-7 start. He's averaging 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game this campaign.
That being said, as the Warriors prepare for their clash with the Heat, fans have been asking if Green is going to play.
Green was initially listed as "Questionable" for Wednesday's game against the Heat. However, more than an hour before tip-off, the team changed his status.
In their final injury report, the Warriors downgraded Green to "Out" due to an illness.
That means the team won't have their Big 3 of Green, Curry and Butler for the game. Curry and Butler have also been ruled out due to various ailments, with the former dealing with an ankle injury and the latter nursing a right low back strain.
It's worth noting that Jonathan Kuminga (knee), Al Horford (toe) and De'Anthony Melton (knee) are all out as well.
It will certainly be difficult for the Warriors to pull off a win against the 8-6 Heat without their best players. It's worth noting that while Miami's Tyler Herro remains out with an ankle injury, All-Star big man Bam Adebayo is returning to action after missing six straight games.
