The Washington Wizards made a couple roster transactions tonight as they have assigned guards Ryan Rollins and Patrick Baldwin Jr. to the Capital City Go-Go of the G-League.

Both players were acquired by the Wizards from the Golden State Warriors in the Chris Paul for Jordan Poole trade that happened this past offseason.

Baldwin had only seen a few minutes of playing time in a couple blowout losses.

In his last season at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee the guard scored 12.1 points per game and had 5.8 rebounds before being drafted in the first round by the Warriors in 2022.

As far as it goes for Rollins, he had seen some limited minutes earlier in the season but has not played in three straight games.

In theĀ  blowout loss to the Boston Celtics earlier this year Rollins played 12 minutes and scored a career high seven points.

During Rollins final season at The University of Toledo he averaged 18.9 points per game and six rebounds and was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round but had his draft rights traded to Golden State.

Going down to the G-League will give these guys time to refine their skills for when the chance comes in the NBA again.

With the long NBA season underway, fatigue and injuries will set in eventually and you will probably see at least one of Rollins or Baldwin back with Washington.

There has yet to be any other corresponding roster moves and this could be just to get the young guards some game action.
