Watch: Anthony Edwards' stepback three caps off Timberwolves' massive fourth-quarter run vs. Rockets

It did not look good for the Minnesota Timberwolves for most of the night until Anthony Edwards knocked down this clutch stepback three in the corner to give Minnesota a 113-112 win over the Houston Rockets on Friday.

As if that was not enough from Edwards, he got this shot to go at the basket and converted the and-one to cap off a 10-0 run from the Timberwolves and cut the Rockets' lead to 110-108 with 1:31 to play.

Overall, the Timberwolves went on a 20-4 run to close out the game. The Rockets led 108-93 with 4:19 remaining before Minnesota completely took over the game.

Edwards had 24 points, five rebounds and three assists. Six of his 24 points came in the final 1:31.

The comeback from Minnesota spoiled a season-high 38 point-effort from Alperen Sengun. Sengun shot an impressive 16-of-25 from the floor and had 12 rebounds.

It has been an eventful season for the Timberwolves (16-14) up to this point. Minnesota has had a pair of three-game losing streaks and lost four straight games as well. Before Friday night, the Timberwolves had dropped three of their last four.

While the Timberwolves have allowed fewer than 100 points in nine of their 30 games, their offense ranks 23rd in the league with 109.1 points per game, according to TeamRankings. As good as the defense has been at times, the offense needs to step up.

Aside from Edwards (25.3 PPG) and Julius Randle (20.1 PPG), center Naz Reid is the third-leading scorer with only 12.2 PPG. The Timberwolves need some additional contributions from their role players on a nightly basis if they are going to improve their mediocre record.

Thankfully for Minnesota, the late heroics from Edwards proved to be enough against Houston in a thrilling come-from-behind win on Friday night.
