Watch: Kenny Smith shoves Shaquille O'Neal into Christmas tree

Shaq tried to race Kenny Smith to the big board. He ended up making a clip for Shaqtin' A Fool.

For years, "Inside the NBA's" Kenny Smith has done a segment where he breaks down game film on a big screen. And for years, the different members of the panel have tried to race Smith when he runs from his seat out to the board, with varying degrees of success.

Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and "Elevator" Ernie Johnson have Smith's speed, so the key to beating Kenny "The Jet" Smith is to anticipate that the highlight segment is about to happen. The panelist has to beat Smith out of the chair or there's no chance to win.

But Smith used Shaq's momentum against him on Tuesday night. Once O'Neal broke for the board, Smith redirected the sprinting 300-pounder into the giant tree on TNT's set. And it wasn't the first time he's done it.

Seven years ago, Smith claimed O'Neal "cheated" on his start, so he let him get one step ahead of him and then bodied him into a Christmas tree.

Smith isn't even the only person at TNT to use a holiday tree as a weapon against Shaq. Ten years ago, a stagehand shoved a tree over him while he was demonstrating his shooting skills.

O'Neal appeared to be just fine after ending up under the tree, which means the only Lakers big man to go down Tuesday night was Anthony Davis, who left the game early with flu-like symptoms.
