Monte Morris beats Warriors with winning shot at buzzer
Denver Nuggets guard Monte Morris Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets somehow beat the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, and Monte Morris was the hero.

Steph Curry had given Golden State a 116-114 lead with 5.9 seconds left. But Denver was not deterred.

Nikola Jokic got the ball and gave Morris a no-look pass for a three-pointer. Morris nailed it at the buzzer to give Denver the win:

Denver won the game 117-116 on that shot by Morris. The Nuggets only led twice in the game — once at the very end, and also with 14.9 seconds left.

Morris finished with 13 points, four rebounds and six assists in Denver’s victory. He goes down as the hero in this one.
