Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert did not take kindly to being dunked on by Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun on Friday.
The Nuggets led the Timberwolves 108-102 with just over five minutes left at Target Center in Minneapolis. Braun caught a pass on the right wing and then swiftly drove toward the rim. The athletic guard powered over Gobert’s chest for a monstrous two-handed flush.
Braun flexed his muscles in front of Gobert after the slam. A frustrated Gobert violently swung his left arm at Braun in an attempt to shove the Nuggets wing.

Gobert and Braun were each assessed a technical foul.
The altercation ended up lighting a fire under the Timberwolves. After Braun’s dunk gave Denver a 110-102 lead with 5:14 to play, Minnesota closed the game on a 17-6 run to seal a 119-116 come-from-behind win.
Aside from Braun’s poster dunk against him, Gobert had a solid performance in Friday’s win. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
Gobert has been no stranger to physical altercations on the court throughout his career. Last season, the Timberwolves center was memorably put in a chokehold by Draymond Green.
