Watch: Russell Westbrook posterizes Rudy Gobert following criticisms of his effort

Russell Westbrook's time with the Los Angeles Lakers has been disappointing for all parties and the team's three-game losing streak has invited even more criticism.

Lakers great Magic Johnson chimed in on Twitter, saying fans "deserve more than a lack of effort and no sense of urgency." Westbrook shrugged off the remark from Johnson , but looked like a man on a mission during the team's game against the Utah Jazz on Monday.

Late in the first half, Westbrook flew down the lane and threw down a ferocious dunk over three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert.

The dunk for Westbrook came shortly after he earned cheers from the Los Angeles crowd by helping to mop up a sweat spot on the floor during the first quarter.

On Sunday night, Lakers star LeBron James apologized to fans on Twitter and promised the team will turn things around. Los Angeles entered its Monday matchup against Utah with a 21-22 record and sat eighth place in the Western Conference.
