Watch: Shaedon Sharpe submits his audition tape for the dunk contest

Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers won the NBA dunk contest in 2021. But he may no longer be the best dunker on his own team, as rookie Shaedon Sharpe showed in a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors.

Sharpe may have been the most mysterious prospect in the draft lottery this year, simply because he played so few games recently. ESPN ranked him the No. 1 player in the class of 2022 before Sharpe graduated early, and enrolled in Kentucky for the spring semester this year. Then, before playing a game for Kentucky, he entiered this year's draft, where Portland took him with the No. 7 pick.

He may not have played a game for Kentucky, but he threw down plenty of amazing dunks in practice.

Sharpe scored 17 points in the Blazers' 131-98 loss to the Warriors.
