As the NBA offseason continues to unfold and spring a few surprises here and there, the NBA superstars are enjoying some much-needed quality time off the court. Two superstars, LeBron James and Stephen Curry, are at the centre of the headlines lately. Interestingly, both have gone viral for their involvement in the same sport: Golf.
Lakers veteran star James went viral last week after posting a video of his visibly crude golf swings, which sparked amusing responses on social media. Now, two days after James was publicly welcomed to the links by Stephen Curry. Not only did Curry welcome the Lakers’ great, but he also aimed a hilarious dig towards James in the process.
Curry approached the tee during a practice round and, sporting a wry smile, took a swing that caused everyone to erupt in laughter. Instead of his typical fluid golf stroke, he made a hilarious and accurate impersonation of his longtime competitor and close friend. After the moment, Curry wasted no time and sent his message to James.
Unbelievable impersonation of my guy bron’s follow through in the golf swing. but we all want to welcome lebron james to the world of golf because the game needs you, big fella.

For context, James posted a few videos of himself playing Golf with his friends in Akron. The videos quickly went viral, with many fans slandering him for his atrocious swing, something that even Curry touched upon in his latest assessment of the star. All in all, Curry’s invitation to James to the sport showcases the strong bond between the two rivals.
Moreover, Curry’s love of golf has been well-known off the court. He began playing golf at the age of ten and regularly participates in celebrity golf competitions. As for James, this is something new, but he does have Curry to turn to if he needs any assistance in the future.
On social media on Wednesday, Stephen Curry shared his warm-up playlist for the American Century Championship, which featured the Fugees’ “Ready or Not” as a standout selection. The playlist also includes tracks by Drake, Childish Gambino, Leon Thomas, and much more. It’s safe to say that Curry is more determined than ever to win this competition.

Curry, a reasonably good golfer, is one of the favorites for the tournament, which he won in 2023 (he didn’t play last year because he was representing USA Basketball at the Olympics in Paris). Last year, former tennis player Mardy Fish took first place with the second-highest score in the competition’s history.
On the court, with his four NBA titles, two league MVP awards, 2022 Finals MVP, eleven All-Star selections, and eleven All-NBA selections, Curry has amassed one of the most outstanding resumes in history. He is still the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader (4,058) and has won two FIBA World Cup gold medals in addition to an Olympic gold in 2024.
Not so long ago, LeBron James opted in on his $52.6 player option with the Lakers. This has led to many trade rumours surrounding the NBA legend. Not only that, some have also claimed that the King would play till his younger son, Bryce James, gets drafted in the NBA. However, Bryce did not waste any time clearing these theories.
Instead, he perhaps unintentionally revealed how many more seasons his father intends to play.
They said my dad still gonna be in the league when I get drafted. That’s too much. No. No. Cause look…He’s gonna be 42, bro.
Bryce James said
His father would end up turning 42 in his 24th NBA season if the younger James followed in his brother’s and current Lakers player Bronny James’ footsteps and went the one-and-done route while attending USC. In light of this, it seems that the James family believes 2025–26 will be the Lakers star’s last season, with James’ wife, Savannah, also wanting him to retire as soon as possible.
