Watch: Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards catches fire in third quarter

With his Minnesota Timberwolves trailing in the third quarter of Game 3, Anthony Edwards elevated his game. Literally.

Edwards threw down a monster dunk to key a personal 6-0 run that tied the Dallas Mavericks, 77-77. He also scored two of the Timberwolves’ three baskets before that run, assisted on the other and assisted on their first basket after his explosion.

For a four-minute stretch, Edwards was involved in all 15 of Minnesota’s points as they climbed back from a 10-point deficit.

Overall, Edwards scored 10 points and handed out three assists in the third quarter, one where Minnesota outscored Dallas, 35-27 to head into the final quarter tied, 87-87.

It’s exactly what the Timberwolves needed from their young All-Star, who shot only 11-for-33 from the field in the first two games. With the Mavericks getting huge scoring from the duo of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, they need Ant Man to play big.

Game 3 is going down to the wire. Thanks to Edwards keeping his team in the game.
