‘We kinda laugh…’ Milwaukee Bucks president’s interesting take on Giannis Antetokounmpo frustration rumors

Milwaukee Bucks president Peter Feigin had an unexpected response when addressing rumors about Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has exhibited a level of control over the Milwaukee Bucks we haven’t seen from an NBA superstar and franchise in quite some time.

Whenever things get rocky, Giannis leans into speculation that he might leave the team. And in an effort to keep him, the Bucks make a big, splashy move.

In 2021, the Bucks landed Jrue Holiday, and it led to Giannis leading them to their first NBA championship in 50 years.

In 2023, when Giannis expressed frustration after a first-round exit, the Bucks traded for Damian Lillard. Giannis and Lillard were excited to compete for a championship together.

But after Lillard’s Achilles injury, the Bucks felt Giannis might consider his options. And in a drastic move, the Bucks waived Damian Lillard to sign Myles Turner.

Milwaukee Bucks president dismisses Giannis Antetokounmpo rumors

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo frustrated with the Milwaukee Bucks? According to President Peter Feigin, the Bucks front office laughs off any such rumors.

They have full confidence that Giannis is locked in with the team, and they are proceeding as if it’s business as usual.

“We kinda laugh internally. It’s where we’ve been for 10 years. Giannis loves Milwaukee, Milwaukee loves Giannis. We’re in a good place, and we feel great about it. It’s business as usual.

“I think we get a fun little joy in everyone thinking they know what’s going on and what the clickbait is.

“We’re in a good spot, and Giannis is in a good place. He’s enjoying the summer. We’re looking forward to next season.”

Milwaukee Bucks cannot afford to get complacent with team building

It appears the Milwaukee Bucks have full confidence in Giannis Antetokounmpo sticking around with them long-term. But things aren’t that simple.

Giannis is reportedly monitoring the Bucks’ offseason and will make a decision at the end of the period.

For the most part, it looks like the former MVP will stay. Giannis’ message to Myles Turner seems to suggest he is excited about the prospect of playing with him.

Whatever the case may be, the Bucks need to do everything in their power to construct the best possible roster around Giannis.

The next priority is adding a point guard. Cole Anthony is a decent signing for the Bucks, but they must expand their search even further and exhaust all options.
