After the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis in a blockbuster deal, fans now await the next matchup between the two teams and when Doncic and Davis can play their former squads.

It is important to note that Doncic has not played since sustaining a calf injury during the Mavs' Christmas Day game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he is reportedly ramping up his recovery and getting closer to a return, which could come around the All-Star break, scheduled from Feb. 14 to 16.

With that said, Doncic is well on track to face his former team when the Lakers play the Mavs later this month.

The Lakers have two games remaining against the Mavericks this season, with the next one scheduled for Feb. 25 at Crypto.com Arena.

Doncic, however, won't be making a return to Dallas until April 9, when the Lakers visit the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

The Lakers and Mavericks have faced each other just once this season, with Dallas winning the first encounter via blowout, 118-97 . Luka Doncic, nonetheless, didn't play in that showdown.

Doncic was reportedly "stunned" by the trade to the Lakers, with the deal really coming out of left field. With that said, he should be motivated when he plays against the Mavs for the first time in his career.
