Where Bronny James ranks heading into NBA Draft Combine

The 2024 NBA Draft lottery is scheduled for this Sunday, an event during USC basketball guard Bronny James’ name is almost certain to not come up. Bronny James was ranked on the latest top 100 NBA Draft prospects list, but his draft position is in question as there are few guarantees with the draft still almost two months away.

Bronny James, the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, was one of 78 players selected to participate in the 2024 NBA Draft Combine which takes place from May 12-19 at the Wintrust Arena and the Marquis Marriott in Chicago.

Bronny James’ freshman season with USC basketball did not end with the success he had hoped, but the Trojans did honor Bronny with a classy gesture recently. Now, the prodigal son of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer is ready to get after it at the Combine, a chance for him to show what he can do against some of the best competition in the sport.

Bronny James Ranked 90th on Top 100 List 

The Trojans veteran James was rated as a four-star recruit in most circles and a top 30 to 50 player coming out of high school, and now he’s cracked the top 100 of the top 2024 NBA Draft prospects list despite a statistically lean season with USC basketball.

A 6-foot-4, 190 pound guard with a 6-foot-8 wingspan, Bronny James was ranked just ahead of familiar players like DJ Burns Jr. of North Carolina State and Walter Clayton Jr. of Florida on the pre-draft top 100 list.

Last season, Bronny James’ statistics did not stand out in any one particular category. He averaged 4.8 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game on 36.6% shooting from the field in just over 19 minutes of game action on average. In his final game, a blowout loss to Arizona, Bronny James scored just three points in 22 points.
