Where Do ‘Continuity’ Cavs Rank In East Entering Season?

But let’s start with today, right now, entering training camp. That’s a prediction I myself made from Media Day on Monday in an interview with Kenny Roda and JT of WHBC 1480 radio. Give it a listen in the player below, by simply hitting the arrow button.

As most fans of the Cavaliers already know, they didn’t make any sweeping changes. Or any changes to their man personnel whatsoever. Donovan Mitchell is back. Darius Garland is back. So are Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. That’s your core four.

So “continuity” is the buzzword entering the season, and new coach Kenny Atkinson will be charged with getting the most out of the current roster. At least, that’s the plan at the start — as Cleveland is one of just three teams to have not signed an outside free agent to a standard deal. Nor did the Cavs make any trades.

Meanwhile, the Celtics brought everyone back from their run to the NBA championship, and the 76ers (Paul George, Caleb Martin) and Knicks (Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges) made significant additions.
