The NBA released the first results of the NBA All-Star fan vote on Thursday, and the Oklahoma City Thunder currently have two players in the top 10 in voting for their respective positions in the Western Conference.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander holds the early lead in guard voting for the West with 1,053,683 votes. He currently ranks ahead of Luka Dončić and Stephen Curry, both of whom have yet to pass the 900,000-vote threshold.

With Shai’s dominating lead in votes, he is on pace to make his third career All-Star appearance this season, and for good reason. So far this season, Shai is averaging 31.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 52.8% from the field and 35.0% from three.

His numbers currently have him at the top of the All-Star vote for West guards and has also put him in the MVP race with Denver Nuggets’ star, Nikola Jokić.

Shai is not the only Thunder’s player currently ranked near the top in voting as Jalen Williams also makes the list. Williams currently sits seventh in voting for the West frontcourt with 188,722 votes.

Williams is trying to make his first All-Star appearance in his third season in the NBA. The 23-year-old is currently averaging 21.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game, all of which are career-highs. He has also shot the ball well, shooting 47.9% from the field and 35.5% from three.

Although this is only the first return of fan voting, both players sit in a good spot, especially Shai who should be a starter for the West. Voting results will continue to be updated every Thursday throughout January until voting closes on Jan. 20.

TNT will reveal the All-Star starters on Thursday, Jan. 23 and the reserves on Thursday, Jan. 30. The All-Star Game is set to tip-off at the Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday Feb. 16.
