Even without a single pick in the first round, the Los Angeles Lakers will be happy with their selections in the 2025 NBA Draft.
They got a defending juggernaut in Adou Thiero, a scoring machine in Eric Dixon, and three more players after the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft.
The three other players that the Los Angeles Lakers welcomed were all given Exhibit 10 deals, and they include Augustas Marciulionis.
“Saint Mary’s PG Augustas Marčiulionis will agree to an Exhibit 10 deal with the LA Lakers, a source told ESPN,” Jonathan Givony reported.
“The two-time WCC player of the year missed the pre-draft process with a foot injury but will be healthy in late July.”

But who is Marciulionis? For starters, he is the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Sarunas Marciulionis.
In an era where even the No. 1 overall pick, Cooper Flagg, spent just a single season in the NCAA, Marciulionis attended college for four years.
The 23-year-old got better with each season with Saint Mary’s as he averaged 8.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 42.3% from the field and 30.4% from the three-point line.
Stats | Freshman | Sophomore | Junior | Senior |
Points | 3.1 PPG | 5.9 PPG | 12.4 PPG | 14.2 PPG |
Rebounds | 1.0 RPG | 1.2 RPG | 3.3 RPG | 3.1 RPG |
Assists | 1.8 APG | 1.6 APG | 5.3 APG | 5.9 APG |
As shown, Marciulionis steadily improved over four years in the NCAA. By his junior and senior years, he also started to average more than 1.0 steals per game.
However, these numbers weren’t sufficient for him to get drafted. A key reason was his age as he has already turned 23 years old.
But if the Lakers overlook that aspect and focus on developing his three-point shooting, he could be a good contributor to the team off the bench.
One thing that could intrigue the Laker Nation is that the 23-year-old guard didn’t sign a permanent deal nor did he come on the team on a two-way contract.
Instead, he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Purple and Gold. So, what does this exactly mean for Marciulionis’ future in LA?
Well, it means that the Lakers have signed him to a one-year non-guaranteed deal. An Exhibit 10 contract means his salary won’t count against the Lakers’ cap space until the start of the regular season.
In simple terms, the Lakers have brought him in for the Summer League and training camp. If the former Saint Mary’s star fails to impress, the Lakers could easily part ways with him.
