In tonight’s ‘positionless basketball,’ French phenom Victor Wembanyama possesses the agility of a point guard in a center’s body, a combination that continues to baffle the league. The San Antonio Spurs star even boasts elite handles, truly redefining the modern center. As a rookie, he was listed as 7-foot-3, and before the current season, he had grown two inches since joining the NBA.
The All-Star Weekend also features Nikola Jokic, Alperen Sengun, Karl-Anthony Towns, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Chet Holmgren. So, does Wembanyama have his usual advantage over the others? Here’s how the 2026 All-Star players line up, by height.
Victor Wembanyama is officially listed at 7-foot-5 for the 2025-26 season. He is one of only 10 players measured at 7-foot-5 or taller to appear in an NBA game. This season, he is the tallest among everyone, making him the tallest All-Star. According to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, Wembanyama could be even taller, possibly around 7’7″ (231 cm).
ESPN also reported the French superstar’s wingspan to be about 8 feet, which creates difficulty for anyone, let alone an All-Star, to get their shot against him. Be it the All-Star Games or a regular-season encounter, the discussion around his height isn’t particularly appealing to Wembanyama anymore.
“I don’t say I like it, it’s more like, over the years, it’s become a non-subject to me,” Wembanyama said. “Because, in my opinion, there’s so many more interesting things about me. Sometimes I’m surprised there’s still a conversation. Because in my mind, it doesn’t really make a difference. That’s the truth. I’m taller than everybody else.”
Victor Wembanyama has successfully blocked Nikola Jokic 11 times. The Denver Nuggets center also hit back, blocking the Frenchman twice. Before Wembanyama gave a new definition to the center position, the Joker revolutionized it with his nonchalant triple-double every night.
Standing 6-foot-11 and weighing a solid 284 pounds, Jokic is one of the most dominant forces in the league.
However, for this All-Star event, even Alperen Sengun (6’11”), Giannis Antetokounmpo (6’11”), and Kevin Durant (6’11”) are the same height as the Joker.
However, there are players taller than them and shorter than Victor Wembanyama. Karl-Anthony Towns (7’0″) and Chet Holmgren (7’1″) remain the two players who can tower over other stars and challenge Wembanyama.
If Stephen Curry (6’2″) hadn’t been injured, he would have been the shortest player to take the court during the All-Star Weekend. But Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Brunson take that spot now, as both undersized guards are listed at 6’2″.
With a height difference of nearly 15 inches compared to Victor Wembanyama, Curry once described how challenging it is to get a shot over the Spurs star.
“I was shooting short in the first half, then I tried a few rainbow moonballs over him, I didn’t make any of them,” Curry said with a laugh. “He challenges you in a way that doesn’t make any sense. I saw it in the Olympics; it always catches you off guard.”
Naturally, the other undersized All-Star guards will also find it difficult to make their regular shots.
