Who's Featured in Latest Pacers' Trade Rumors?

With Pascal Siakam as a piece of the Pacers' core, the other two forwards on the depth chart remain as possible trade pieces. 

Despite the improvements to Jarace Walker's game and Obi Tobbin's freshly-dried ink on his contract, neither fit the "untouchable" label. 

Considering the Pacers aren't looking to rebuild, it's intriguing to see what kind of players or pieces their front office wishes to pursue. 

Although the Pacers reside at the unflattering Eastern Conference eight-seed, the underwhelming parity provides hope for the Rick Carlisle-coached team to bounce back from such a disappointing beginning to the season.

While the Pacers' offense has struggled mightily compared to the second-best offensive rating they accumulated during the 2023-24 season, as they currently hold the 14th-best, their defense desperately needs improvements. 

At 26th in defensive rating, aside from Myles Turner, few, if any, of the Pacers make a difference guarding the opposition. The Pacers aren't asset-deficient, but they also lack the number of draft picks and tantalizing young players that other teams have at their disposal, such as the Brooklyn Nets and the Oklahoma City Thunder, to trade for another star-level player.

However, Walker's contract and Toppin in another system could appease other teams looking to swap an older player who does not fit their timeline but could help the Pacers with their defensive woes.
