Who's Pacers' 'Secret Weapon' vs. Blazers?

Since coming on as a starter, Jackson's presence has provided a nudge to the Pacers' uncharacteristically slower pace compared to the hot-in-pursuit 2023-24 campaign. Jackson's hustling spirit encouraged the Pacers to play the more familiar, faster game in the previously allotted four-game stretch. 

In the Pacers' previous four contests, they rank second in pace, behind Trae Young's run-and-gun offense. Although Jackson isn't the main man behind such a statistic - he is still a sort of "secret weapon'' in the NBA - he plays an influential role in determining the number. 

On the season, Portland ranks sixth, at 100.4 in pace. The Pacers recorded a 105.5 pace in the four-game stretch, whereas Jackson is at 104.71 when he's on the floor. Jackson doesn't hesitate when handling the ball; when given the rock, it's either shoot or drive.

Defenses don't have time to regroup in possession, including Jackson. Whether successful or not, the undrafted, unproven guard plays with the passion of someone working for their meal. Considering the Pacers' 8-10 record, perhaps they should all play with such desperation. 

Nonetheless, the Pacers are on a two-game winning streak against inferior teams, no less, but the Trail Blazers fit in the same boat as the Washington Wizards and the New Orleans Pelicans: lottery-bound teams. 

In light of Haliburton's recent resurgence and Jackson's mission to make a difference on the roster, the Pacers are primed for another victory, with Portland as their next stepping stone to returning to .500 basketball.
