Why Bronny James Did Not Play in Lakers-Warriors After Big Game
Petre Thomas-Imagn Images

After Bronny James' career game in the G League on Friday, many were probably hoping that the Los Angeles Lakers rookie would suit up in the team's NBA game on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, James was not in the lineup for the contest, with the Lakers noting that he had been ruled out due to his G League assignment.

The Lakers faced the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center. However, considering that James played less than 24 hours before the showdown, it's not really a big surprise that the team didn't recall him for the game.

The good news for the Lakers, however, was that LeBron James was able to play after being initially listed as questionable due to a foot issue.

It's understandable why fans would have loved to see Bronny James play against the Warriors, though. In the South Bay Lakers' G League showdown with the Rip City Remix, he dropped a career-high 31 points along with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

With him leading the way, South Bay beat the Rip City squad, 122-110.

It would have definitely been great to see James carry his momentum to an NBA game. For now, though, fans will have to wait for that.

Perhaps when James returns to the team and gets more playing time, he will be able to deliver a highlight-reel material like the dunk he had against the Remix.
