The Orlando Magic will be in Detroit to go head-to-head against the Pistons for an exciting matchup. And as match prediction has it, both teams will be taking nothing for granted and pour in their absolute best.

However, the injury report is something fans from the two different cities will be paying close attention to. And Paolo Banchero and Cade Cunningham are stars who could make or break the deficit for their respective teams.

And as per the latest update, both Banchero and Cunningham are expected to play, with neither player listed on the official injury report ahead of Wednesday night’s matchup.

Detroit, in fact, enters Game 2 with a completely clean bill of health, giving head coach J.B. Bickerstaff full access to his rotation in a must-win scenario.

Cunningham was the lone bright spot for the Pistons in Game 1, exploding for 39 points while the rest of the roster struggled to find rhythm. Detroit shot just 36% from the field in that loss, exposing issues in shot creation and offensive flow against Orlando’s defensive schemes.

With no injury limitations, the expectation is that Cunningham will again shoulder a heavy offensive load.

On the other side, Banchero is also set to suit up after leading a balanced Magic attack in the series opener. He finished with 23 points and nine rebounds, anchoring a starting unit where all five players scored in double figures.

Franz Wagner’s scoring support and the team’s overall execution were key in stealing home-court advantage. The only notable injury concern in this matchup is Jonathan Isaac, who is doubtful with a knee issue. While not a primary scorer, Isaac’s absence could impact Orlando’s defensive versatility, particularly in switching and rim protection.

Paolo Banchero’s Confidence Is What Magic Needs Against Pistons

After tasting victory early in the series, Paolo Banchero isn’t getting ahead of himself, and that’s exactly the kind of tone Orlando needs right now.

After the Magic’s Game 1 win in Detroit, he put the message inside the locker room loud and clear.

“Just that we can’t overreact to one win,” he said via Roundtable. “Game 1—it’s a long series. As we all know how the media is, they’ll jump back on board, so I’m just reminding guys: don’t buy into that. Stay locked in on the mission and don’t overreact to one game. We got to come out and do it again.”

That mindset showed up in how Orlando handled Game 1. Banchero led the way with 23 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn’t just about scoring. He kept pointing back to communication, guys talking through coverages, staying connected during runs, and not letting the moment speed them up.

Defensively, that connected approach made a difference. The Magic did a solid job limiting everyone outside of Cade Cunningham, and Banchero made it clear that being aggressive without giving up easy looks is the standard moving forward.
